AI Narrative Intelligence That Detects and Counters Disinformation Attacks

Blackbird.AI builds narrative intelligence software that detects and counters disinformation, misinformation and manipulated media aimed at companies, executives and public institutions. Founded in 2017 by computer scientists Wasim Khaled and Dr. Naushad UzZaman, the company was initially bootstrapped around the premise that AI-driven propaganda constitutes a distinct category of enterprise risk. Its stated customer base spans finance, healthcare, media, critical infrastructure, technology, consumer products and the public sector, with buyers sitting in communications, marketing, corporate security, risk and executive leadership functions.

The Constellation platform ingests content from thousands of dark web, social, news and open sources across more than 25 languages, covering text, images and memes. Rather than tracking keywords alone, it clusters material into narratives and assigns each a Narrative Risk Score derived from five signals: the emerging narrative itself, the influencers driving it, the networks it reaches, anomalous scaling behaviour that suggests coordination or bot activity, and the connected cohorts amplifying it. Historical sweeps can cover roughly two years of content.

Findings surface through the Constellation Dashboard, a Narrative Feed of scored summaries, and a Constellation API for programmatic integration, while Compass Context and Compass Vision address harmful-claim analysis and AI-generated image and deepfake detection with confidence scoring rather than binary verdicts. The multidisciplinary RAV3N team adds human research via Watch, Recon and an embedded analyst Agent. Gartner positioned the firm as a Market Shaper in its June 2026 Emerging Market Quadrant for narrative intelligence.
