Atomic Mole LLC, based in Rockville, Maryland, sells a cloud-based security and risk analytics platform aimed at the Internet of Things. Its customers are enterprises in connected health, smart manufacturing, and smart buildings, plus managed security providers, cloud service providers, and network security resellers that monitor large device estates on behalf of others. The problem it addresses is device sprawl: IoT endpoints join enterprise networks without agents, operating systems, or usable log output.
The platform uses a sensor plus microservices architecture that deploys in minutes without manual configuration. Sensors observe wired and wireless traffic across the protocols IoT devices actually speak, then the service handles discovery, identification, baseline profiling, threat analysis, and risk profiling for each device. Because the approach is agentless and traffic-driven, it covers hardware that cannot run an endpoint agent and never generates the logs a conventional SIEM expects to ingest.
The elastic design scales autonomously from a single device up to millions, so the same platform fits a small clinic and a multi-site manufacturer. That scaling model, combined with the low deployment effort, is how the company argues for real-time monitoring at a fraction of conventional per-device cost. Positioning it for managed providers and resellers as well as end users means the platform is sold both as a direct tool and as something a service provider runs for its own clients.
