Managed Browser Security and Visibility for MSPs

Atakama sells a browser security platform built for managed service providers and the security teams that support distributed workforces. The company's argument is that the browser has become the most-used application in the workplace and the least governed, sitting outside the visibility of traditional endpoint tooling. Its offering turns the browsers employees already run into managed workspaces, giving providers a way to see and control web activity across every client tenant from one place.

Deployment runs through a single install script that places a lightweight agent on the device and an extension into existing browsers, avoiding a forced switch to a purpose-built browser. From there the console consolidates DNS and web content filtering, data loss prevention over uploads, downloads and on-screen data, credential risk analysis for breached or reused passwords, extension inventory, and browser hardening. Multi-tenant administration adds policy inheritance with client-level overrides, and the platform feeds PSA, RMM and SIEM systems already in the stack.

Shadow AI governance is the capability the vendor leads with: the platform inventories which AI services users reach, separates approved from unapproved tools, and blocks sensitive files from being uploaded to services outside policy, reporting usage per tool and per user over time. Positioning leans on MSP economics rather than enterprise procurement, with flexible licensing that avoids wasted seats and rigid contracts. Atakama states it holds SOC 2 Type II certification and maps its controls to HIPAA, CMMC, CIS and SOC 2 frameworks.
