French Security Audit, Evaluation, and Offensive Testing Consultancy

AMOSSYS is a cybersecurity expertise and consultancy firm founded in 2007 in Rennes, France. It built its practice on security evaluation and audit work for demanding buyers, serving roughly a hundred companies and public bodies across defense, aerospace, the public sector, healthcare, banking, transport, telecommunications, and energy. By the time of its acquisition it employed more than sixty engineers, enough to staff long technical evaluations rather than only short assessments, and it positions its capability as sovereign French expertise.

The work is expertise-led rather than product-based. Services cover security audits and offensive testing of live environments, consulting and governance engagements, and product and system evaluation through SEAL, its Security Evaluation and Analysis Lab, which handles the formal certification assessments that regulated and defense buyers require. A CERT team handles incident response, and a research and development group works on techniques and tooling that feed back into the assessment practice.

Almond, a French audit and consultancy group covering cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure, acquired one hundred percent of AMOSSYS in February 2023 with backing from Apax Partners, taking the combined organization to roughly four hundred experts. The legal merger completed at the end of 2025 and the business now trades under the Almond brand, with the Rennes team, offices, and processes continuing as Almond's Rennes establishment alongside sites in Paris, Strasbourg, Nantes, Lyon, Aix-en-Provence, and Geneva.
