EzProtect Malware and Ransomware Scanning for Salesforce
Adaptus is an application development and Salesforce architecture consultancy founded in 2012 in Austin, Texas. Its security product, EzProtect, was built by former Salesforce employees under a Salesforce Certified Technical Architect and launched as a virus scanner for the platform. Buyers are enterprises and public sector organizations whose Salesforce orgs accept file uploads from customers, partners, or the public, particularly those running Experience Cloud communities and public-facing sites where an uploaded attachment reaches internal staff.
Salesforce does not scan uploaded files for malicious content, so an infected attachment can sit in an org and spread when a user opens it. EzProtect installs from the AppExchange and inspects files across the areas of Salesforce where content lands, including communities and sites, blocking malware and ransomware in real time using deep learning detection and exploit prevention rather than signatures alone. A single subscription covers multiple orgs and sandbox environments, with centralized reporting across them.
The product is distributed through the Salesforce AppExchange and, for government buyers, through Carahsoft, and it is offered on both commercial and FedRAMP-approved hosting. Adaptus has extended threat visibility beyond Salesforce to other cloud SaaS applications and markets its current offering under the name Argus. The adaptus.com domain now redirects to ezprotect.io, where the security product is presented as the company's main line rather than the consulting practice it grew out of.
